Prosecutor orders probe into salaries, appointments in four services

An Athens prosecutor on Monday ordered an investigation into allegations that employees at the state-owned Industrial Property Organization and Epirus Metalworks Industry were receiving salaries and benefits higher than those outlined in the unified salary structure for the civil service.

The probe will also investigate overtime payments in the Greek Police, as well as 80 special appointments in the coast guard.
