Athens University administrative staff opt to strike again
Administrative staff at Athens University decided on Monday to hold two more 48-hour strikes this week, which will be the 11th of protests against the public sector labor mobility scheme.
Staff at the National Technical University of Athens are expected to join their colleagues in this week’s strike.
The strikes mean that students and academic staff will not have access to classroom and other facilities.
Education Minister Constantinos Arvanitopoulos said that students and parents are being made to suffer unnecessarily due to the dispute between the government and the administrative staff.
