Doctors at EOPPY health centers on strike, other staff to follow
Medical centers run by Greece’s main state healthcare provider, EOPPY, will be operating with skeleton staff for most of this week.
EOPPY doctors are on strike from Monday to Wednesday in protest at the government’s plans to transfer or fire some of them.
Other staff working for EOPPY are due to walk off the job on Tuesday and Wednesday.
A protest is due to take place in front of the Health Ministry at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
