Three dead, one missing in Rhodes flooding, which caused widespread damage
Three people drowned and one more is missing on Rhodes as a result of flash flooding on Friday and Saturday that caused more than 5 million euros worth of damage.
Authorities said that they were preparing for more bad weather from Monday afternoon onward.
The three people who lost their lives as a result of the flooding were identified as a 67-year-old man and his 54-year-old wife. A 27-year-old schoolteacher also drowned when her car was swept away.
A 53-year-old teacher has been missing since Friday, when the storm hit the Dodecanese island.
It is estimated that the flooding has caused in excess of 5 million euros worth of damage to homes, stores and vehicles.
