Police in Kastoria nab elusive fugitive [Update]

Three Albanian convicts who over the weekend crossed into Greece after escaping from the Balkan country’s maximum security prison of Drenova, south of capital Tirana, have been arrested police said Thursday.

Convicted murderer Eduard Lulo was arrested near Kozani, in northern Greece. A second fugitive, Reiz Haxhiraij, was netted a few hours later in the Kastoria area.

Another convict, Gezim Toma, was caught on Wednesday after an exchange of fire with police officers near Kastoria that left him injured.

A group of seven convicts escaped prison on Saturday before three of them were spotted crossing the border into northwestern Greece. Albanian police have already arrested the other four fugitives.
