Body of young woman found in Thessaloniki identified
The body of a young woman found by a passer-by in a dry creek bed on the outskirts of Thessaloniki on Tuesday morning has been identified as belonging to a 22-year-old Albanian national, whose name, however, was not made public.
Police investigating the discovery of the body in the district of Dendropotamo just a few kilometers outside the Thessaloniki city center believe that the young woman committed suicide, the Athens-Macedonia News Agency reported. They confirmed that she had been reported missing on Monday night by her father, who is said to suffer from mental illness.
