Baby Jesus stolen from Aristotelous Square, again

Authorities in Thessaloniki were seeking the culprits behind the removal of the holy infant from the nativity scene currently on display on Aristotelous Square, in the northern port city of Thessaloniki. The theft was discovered early on Wednesday.

In the last few years the holy infant’s effigy has been stolen repeatedly from the traditional annual display. Last year Baby Jesus was replaced by three lambs.
