Man stabs wife to death in Thessaloniki
A 58-year-old man has been charged with stabbing his 60-year-old wife to death in the Kordelio area of Thessaloniki, northern Greece.
Police said that following the crime, the man, who is an ethnic Greek from the former Soviet Union, unsuccessfully tried to hang himself.
The crime occurred inside the couple’s apartment at around 10 p.m. on Monday.
The 58-year-old was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
Police are investigating.
