Kidnapped businessman identified as CEO of Karamolengos Bakery
A businessman who was kidnapped in Koropi, eastern Attica, on Tuesday was identified on Wednesday as the owner and chief executive officer of the listed company Karamolengos Bakery Industry, Emmanouil Karamolengos, Eleftherotypia daily reported.
“Following reports associating the owner of Karamolengos Bakery SA, Emmanouil Karamolengos, with a kidnapping case, we would like to announce that a police investigation is under way,” the company said in a brief announcement on its website on Wednesday.
“In any case, the operation of Karamolengos Bakery SA will continue uninterrupted,” the statement added.
Police have launched a major operation to locate the businessman.
