Young cancer sufferer’s family launches fundraising campaign
The family of 4-year-old Panayiotis Georgotas, who has been battling cancer for the past 20 months, launched a campaign on Wednesday to raise funds so they can seek treatment for the toddler at a specialized center in New York.
The Corfiot family will be holding a tele-marathon on local TV station Start Channel on February 5, while they have also expanded the campaign on Facebook (www.facebook.com/groups/511458078974630/).
The child’s family have also opened a special account at Alpha Bank where members of the public can contribute toward their campaign to secure treatment at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
