Total of 52 Greek retirees receive 8-10 state pensions
A total of 174 retirees currently receive monthly state pensions in excess of 4,000 euros, Labor Minister Yiannis Vroutsis (photo) said on Wednesday in response to a question submitted in Parliament by New Democracy MP Kyriakos Virvidakis.
According to the Computer Center for Social Security Services (IDIKA), 30 of those 174 pensioners receive payouts of more than 5,000 euros per month, three get more than 6,000 euros a month and one gets more than 7,000 euros per month.
The highest monthly pension from a single fund is 5,460 euros per month.
Of the 174 high-income pensioners on IDIKA’s records, a total of 52 retirees receive between eight and 10 pensions.
