Samaras due to meet with new EU Commission chief on Wednesday
Prime Minister Antonis Samaras spoke by telephone on Tuesday with new European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker to congratulate him on his new post.
Samaras is to meet with Juncker, a former prime minister of Luxembourg who belongs to the European People’s Party with which Samaras is affiliated, on the sidelines of a European Council meeting in Brussels on Wednesday.
Samaras also spoke by phone on Tuesday with US Vice President Joe Biden, with the discussion said to have focused on developments in Ukraine.
