Minister visits siblings hurt in Corinth factory blast

Two siblings, aged 8 and 13, who were hurt in an explosion at a fireworks factory in Zevgolatio, near Corinth, remained in critical condition on Thursday, according to doctors.

The youngsters were at their home next door to the factory when the blast occurred on Monday.

Deputy Health Minister Katerina Papacosta visited the children in the capital’s Aghia Sofia children’s hospital and spoke with their mother, sources said.

The children’s father and their uncle were also injured by the explosion, though less seriously.
