Special guard arrested over extortion, bribery
Police officers in Piraeus arrested a special guard on charges of extortion and bribery on Saturday.
According to early reports, the suspect was detained in a sting operation after the 41-year-old owner of a motorcycle repair shop filed charges against him.
The 41-year-old said that the special guard had asked him to repair his motorcycle free of charge and that he had refused.
The special guard is said to have subsequently demanded a payment of 3,000 euros, saying that he had introduced several new clients to the 41-year-old.
