Remote-controlled helicopter was not carrying explosives, police say [Update]

An examination by police bomb disposal experts of fragments of a remote-controlled miniature helicopter that fell on a parked car in the southern coastal suburb of Vouliagmeni, causing alarm, has indicated that the toy had not been carrying explosives as originally suspected.

Earlier reports indicated that the incident occurred close to the home of Independent Greeks leader Panos Kammenos. However it later emerged that an association of toy model aircraft is also based in the area.
