Revolutionary Struggle suspect remanded in custody as lawyer complains of leaks
Antonis Stamboulos, the man arrested last week on suspicion of being a member of terrorist group Revolutionary Struggle, was remanded in custody on Sunday.
Stamboulos also faces charges relating to possession of explosives, theft, forgery, resisting arrest and carrying a weapon.
According to reports, the suspect refused to provide a deposition until he has been made aware of the contents of the case file. His lawyer, Ioanna Kourtovik, accused authorities of leaking information to the media and not including it in the case file.
Stamboulos was arrested in the Athens neighborhood of Vyronas on Thursday night as he accessed a lock up garage allegedly used by the terrorists involved in the bombing of the Bank of Greece’s offices earlier this year.
