DIAS officer killed in accident
A 32-year-old member of the police’s motorcycle-riding DIAS squad has been killed after being hit by a car during a traffic stop.
The accident occurred late on Tuesday along the Athens to Lamia highway near Aigaleo, west of the capital.
The officer was taken to Nikaia hospital by ambulance staff but later died. Details surrounding the accident are unknown at this time.
