Cyber crime unit releases figures of child porn, potential suicides cases
A total of 101 suspects have been arrested on charges of trading in child pornography over the past three years, according to figures submitted in Parliament by the head of the Greek Police’s Cyber Crime Unit, Manolis Sfakianakis.
Officers of the unit have also succeeded in averting a total of 1,060 potential suicides in the period between 2006 and 2014 by tracing individuals who posted their intention to end their lives, Sfakianakis added.
