Six arrested in illegal adoption ring
Six Bulgarian nationals face charges of running an illegal adoption ring after police in Evia and Athens were able to stop one of the members from going through with the illegal adoption of two babies and an older child.
Three of the suspects are believed to have arranged for the children born of the three other suspects to be given up for illegal adoption for a fee ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 euros.
A 62-year-old Greek lawyer is suspected of drafting documents that would make the adoptions appear legal.
