To Potami to name 40 figures as public face

To Potami, the centrist party led by former journalist Stavros Theodorakis, is to name more than 40 figures that will make up the movement’s public face for the coming months and would likely be its parliamentary candidates should Greece have to hold early elections next year.

To Potami will announce one main representative in each prefecture, who will act as the party’s spokesperson for that area, and create a 16-person team that will be similar to a shadow cabinet, responding to the government and SYRIZA on a range of topics.

Civil engineer and construction firm owner Thanasis Skokos will represent To Potami on economic issues, while MEP Miltos Kyrkos will be its spokesman for the public administration. Pavlos Eleftheriadis, an associate professor in the Faculty of Law at Oxford University, will handle justice-related matters.
