PM orders gas network to reconnect hospice
Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Monday ordered that a natural gas connection to an Attica care home for people suffering from incurable diseases be restored immediately after the supply was disconnected due to the institution’s inability to foot its bills.
Attica’s local gas company (EPA) cut the supply recently due to outstanding bills but sources said Samaras ordered that the connection be re-established without delay.
The premier is also said to have called for an investigation to determine who was responsible for the decision to cut the gas supply to the hospice.
