Students stop Thessaloniki University rector from leaving wreath
Students prevented the rector of Thessaloniki’s Aristotle University, Periklis Mitkas, from leaving a wreath at the city’s monument to the 1973 uprising against the military dictatorship.
According to reports, Mitkas, arrived early in the morning to leave a wreath but was prevented from reaching the monument. He left without further incident.
