Girl, 11, gives birth, alleged 14-year-old father sought
Police on Crete are seeking a 14-year-old Roma youth believed to be the father of a child born to an 11-year-old girl on Sunday. Sources indicated Tuesday that the 14-year-old is the girl’s cousin.
Officers have been seeking the youth since May when the girl’s mother reported him to police, claiming that he had molested the 11-year-old.
The girl, who only discovered she was pregnant in the seventh month, gave birth by Caesarean section. She and the baby were said to be healthy.
