Greece’s Dimosthenis Tampakos performs on the rings during the apparatus finals at the World Gymnastics Championships in Anaheim, California, on August 23, 2003. Tampakos and Jordan Jovtchev of Bulgaria shared the gold medal in the event with a score of 9.787. PM Costas Simitis and opposition leader Costas Karamanlis sent Tampakos their congratulations.
