Strong winds cause ferry cancellations
Strong winds of up to 10 on the Beaufort scale on Friday forced the cancellation of several ferry departures from the country’s main ports, including Piraeus and Lavrio, but services resumed later in the day.
Conditions are expected to deteriorate anew from Sunday, according to the National Meteorological Service (EMY), which forecasts strong winds, snowfall and storms, particularly in eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean.
