Suspected Xeros helpers detained after refusing to answer questions

Two suspected accomplices of convicted November 17 terrorist Christodoulos Xeros (photo), Angeliki Spyropoulou, 22, and a 39-year-old man with the code name Iasonas, were remanded in custody on Thursday after appearing before an investigating magistrate.

Both refused to answer any questions, according to sources.

Spyropoulou is alleged to have acted as an accomplice to Xeros while he was on the run and is thought to have played a key role in a thwarted plan to get jailed members of the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire guerrilla group out of Attica’s Korydallos Prison.
