Man arrested with nearly 6 kilos of cocaine at Athens airport
A 38-year-old Brazilian national was arrested after being caught in possession of nearly 6 kilos of cocaine at Athens International Airport on Monday, after flying from Sao Paolo, Brazil, via Dubai.
According to initial reports, the suspect was allegedly found to be transporting 5.9 kilos of cocaine in socks placed in large metallic boxes in a backpack.
Authorities believe that the suspect is a member of an international drug ring transporting cocaine from Latin American countries to Europe.
