Passenger arrested at Athens Airport over undeclared cash
Authorities at Athens International Airport on Wednesday ordered the seizure of a portion of nearly 300,000 euros in cash from a Greek national who had flown in from Dubai.
The man was carrying 275,000 euros in cash and 17,000 US dollars, according to sources who said authorities issued an order for a fine equal to 25 percent of the cash to be paid in accordance with a Greek law that applies for cash sums in excess of 10,000 euros.
