Six Turkish jets violate Greek airspace

A formation of six Turkish fighter jets violated Greek air space over the northeastern Aegean on two occasions on Thursday, Greek defense officials said.

The jets, two of which were armed, were chased off by Greek aircraft, the officials said.

The violations come just a few weeks before Greek and Turkish diplomats are expected to start talks on confidence-building measures between the two countries.
