Skouries miners allege damage to vehicles from anti-mine protesters
Miners working at the Skouries gold mine in Halkidiki, northern Greece, continued their protests on Monday after a day of tension on Sunday.
Supporters of the project as well as opponents protested on Sunday. Miners alleged that anti-mine demonstrators damaged two cars and a truck during a protest in the village of Ierissos.
Police had to intervene on Sunday to keep rival demonstrators apart.
