Port police announces afternoon jet ski ban in Freatida, Votsalakia
In a bid to make bathing waters safer, port police have announced that a ban on personal watercraft and jetboats will be introduced off the coast of Freatida and Votsalakia on Athens’s southern coast during peak bathing hours.
The ban will remain in place from the start of June through the end of September, forbidding such craft to operate from 2-5 p.m. when the capital’s beaches tend to be at their busiest.
