Tourist dies in rockfall on beach in Crete
A 36-year-old tourist from the Czech Republic was killed on Sunday night when a boulder fell on her while she was on a beach in Sfakia, Crete.
Rescuers reached the Glyka Nera beach by dinghy as the only other way to access it is on foot via a mountain path. The woman, however, appears to have been killed instantly.
The beach is often used for camping by visitors to the island.
