Fourth Hellenic Petroleum worker dies in wake of accident

A fourth worker injured in a fire at Hellenic Petroleum’s refinery in Aspropyrgos, west of Athens, earlier this month has died.

Authorities said on Sunday that Costas Magouras succumbed to the injuries he suffered in the May 8 blaze.

A total of six people were injured in the accident. Three had already died in the hospital, while one recovered from his injuries and was discharged. The sixth Hellenic Petroleum (ELPE) employee is still receiving treatment.
