Prosecutor calls for probe into online call to storm PM’s residence

Appeals court prosecutor Isidoros Dogiakos on Wednesday ordered an urgent investigation into messages allegedly posted on social media by Thanos Tzimeros (photo), the businessman who founded the centrist party Dimiourgia Xana (Recreate Greece), that call on citizens to storm the prime minister’s official residence, known as Maximos Mansion, and ministry buildings, if the government’s next proposal to creditors is “still a fraud.”

One of the notes that the politician is alleged to have written calls on Greeks to “enter the Maximos and the ministries of national treason and kick them out.”

“The joke has gone too far. Our children won’t live in a Soviet state,” the posting said. The probe is to determine whether Tzimeros should face trial on charges of inciting violence.
