Two Athens hospital officials sacked over absence
Health Minister Panayiotis Kouroublis on Wednesday announced the immediate dismissal of the director and the assistant director of the capital’s Attikon Hospital after finding that the two were both absent from their posts on a day that the hospital was on emergency duty.
Kouroublis took the decision following a surprise visit to the hospital which was conducted as part of a tour of health service facilities.
