Olympic medal auctioned

A silver medal from the first modern Olympics held in Athens in 1896 is held up by an employee of the Athens Auctions company yesterday. The medal depicts the god Zeus holding a globe with the goddess of victory, Nike, raising an olive branch. It is to be auctioned in Athens tomorrow with a starting price of 2,500,000 drachmas (7,336 euros).
