Serial sick leave note forger caught out in Larissa

A 49-year-old who is believed to have been sacked from Larissa General Hospital in 2011 for forgery was arrested on the same charges on Friday.

He is suspected of forging a doctor’s note for a civil center so that he could apply for sick leave.

The forgery was spotted by the member of the committee tasked with inspecting such applications.

A police search of the ex-nurse’s home turned up 10 unfilled sick leave forms and certification stamps from the hospital where he used to work.
