Decision on VAT for private education put off until Friday

The government has yet to decide whether to go ahead with its plan to impose a 23 percent value-added tax rate on private education or to abandon the scheme.

The Finance Ministry said on Friday that the deadline for schools to register for VAT has been extended by another week and that the government will make a final decision by Friday
