Evangelismos staff to stage work stoppage on Tuesday
Workers at Evangelismos Hospital in Athens are to stage a work stoppage on Tuesday to protest staff shortages.
The union representing employees at the hospital claims that it is short of dozens of staff, with some departments lacking any resident doctors.
The union also says the fixed-term contracts of 31 staff are due to end between now and the end of December.
The work stoppage at the busy hospital is due to begin at 1 p.m. on November 3 and will last until the end of the employees’ shift.
Evangelismos staff will protest in front of the Health Ministry.
