Assailants firebomb Turkish Consulate in northern Greece

Around 25 hooded assailants launched 15 Molotov cocktails at the guard post of the Turkish Consulate in Thessaloniki in the early hours of Friday.

The attack occurred at 3.20 a.m. outside the consulate’s premises on Aghiou Dimitriou Street. No injuries have been reported and police said the firebombs only caused superficial damage to the guard post and the building’s facade.

Police are looking for the perpetrators, who fled after the attack.
