Greek authorities issue smog warning for Attica
The Environment Ministry yesterday issued a warning to citizens in Attica to refrain from using fireplaces or biomass fuel burning heaters, saying that weather conditions will be conducive to smog formation on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The ministry said there will be light winds and a rise in temperatures during that time, which could increase concentrations of microparticles in the atmosphere.
