Mitsotakis to meet Karamanlis and Samaras after taking over at ND helm

New Democracy’s new leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis is due to meet two of his predecessors on Tuesday, a day after officially taking up his new role.

Mitsotakis is due to meet Costas Karamanlis at 12.30 p.m. and Antonis Samaras at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both meetings are due to take place in Greek Parliament.

Karamanlis was seen as supporting rival candidate Evangelos Meimerakis in Sunday’s ballot.

Mitsotakis took over as party leader around noon on Monday after meeting caretaker president Yiannis Plakiotakis (photo).
