Man, 22, charged over online blackmail
The Greek Police’s Cyber Crime Unit on Wednesday issued charges against a 22-year-old man who is alleged to have uploaded sexually explicit photographs and videos of a 16-year-old girl on a social networking site.
Police launched the investigation after the girl’s mother filed a complaint.
The 22-year-old is alleged to have blackmailed the girl into sending him the photos and videos using coercion after meeting her on the site.
A police probe established that the material had been posted on the site from the man’s computer.
