Municipal official convicted of embezzlement released
The former general secretary at Thessaloniki Municipality, Michalis Lemousias, who was handed a jail sentence of 13 years and five months for his part in the embezzlement of 17.9 million euros in public funds has been granted conditional release.
Lemousias has been imprisoned at Diavata Prison since June 2001.
