Police arrests gang suspected of spreading mayhem
An orchestrated operation earlier this week has led to the arrest of five men, aged 22 to 31, who are believed to be part of a gang behind a number of violent incidents over the past few months, police said on Thursday.
The three Greeks and two Albanian nationals are accused of attacking riot police squads with Molotov cocktails, torching a van belonging to a TV station, robbing a food delivery person, assaulting political activists and beating up a man at a basketball game, among other offenses.
Charge sheets have also been drawn up against another 19 suspected gang members.
