Police warns of scam in online car sales
Police on Monday warned that dozens of people who have sold their car via online ads have received no money for the transaction.
According to a statement issued by authorities, they are investigating numerous cases where fraudsters had agreed the price of sale with the owner and then presented bogus accounts and money transfer documents.
Sellers transferred the vehicle to the con artist or gang, who resold it at a discount on the web.
