Tax officer arrested on suspicion of stealing 6 mln euros
An employee at a central tax office in Athens was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of embezzling more than 6 million euros in taxpayers’ money.
The 58-year-old was taken into custody after a local magistrate issued a warrant for her arrest on charges of embezzlement and money laundering.
The Financial Police did not provide further details of the case.
