Two held at airport on Crete with fake travel documents

Two foreign nationals were arrested on Tuesday at Iraklio airport on Crete for attempting to board a flight heading to Marseille in France with forged documents.

Authorities said they were also charged with assisting undocumented migrants to exit the country by forging false documents.

The two suspects, a 46-year-old Egyptian man and a 39-year-old woman from Lebanon, who was traveling with her two children, were to appear before a prosecutor on Tuesday.
