Boat carrying 40 refugees, migrants heading to Kythnos port
Greek coast guard officers on Monday intercepted 40 migrants on a wooden dinghy in the sea area between the islands of Kea, Kythnos and Serifos.
According to authorities, the coast guard officers were alerted following a European emergency call allegedly placed by one of the migrants on the boat.
Following an inspection on board, the boat was being towed by a private boat to the port of Kythnos, authorities said.
