Road accidents claim three lives in Peloponnese
Traffic police in Pyrgos in the Peloponnese on Tuesday were investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 60-year-old female motorist who lost control of her vehicle on the section of the national highway connecting Tripoli to Pyrgos early in the morning.
The car came off the road and smashed into a tree, according to traffic police sources who said the impact of the collision threw the woman through the windshield.
In another accident on Monday, near the city of Kalamata in the Peloponnese, two people were killed when a truck collided with a motorcycle.
The 30-year-old driver of the motorcycle and his passenger, a 24-year-old man, were both killed in the crash.
The 44-year-old driver of the truck was being questioned by traffic police.
